The Drake Circus, “We've Got It Covered" campaign.
Rick Cresswell of The Company was commissioned to produce the pioneering 2008 Drakes Circus television advertisement for Chalk and Ward Advertising.
The Company, is thankful to have such a group of world-class media artists on its books. After receiving original storyboards from Lion Heart and then by Chalk and Ward Advertising, The Company team set about to create a new standard in local television advertising, normally only achieved by national campaigns.
With experience only in International television advertising Rick Cresswell was highly excited by the creative storyboards for a local advertising campaign and immediately set about to transform them into something really special. This included CGI animation and the latest advances in on-line uncompressed computing, ident composition, the voice and the final sound design for the advert.
The advert was created with a total Exeter workflow and was mastering it in house at The Company, at the highest uncompressed standards available to broadcasting. They then handled all legal hoops, conforming, even placing straight from the edit suite direct to ITV’s broadcast servers for transmission to the Westcountry region.
It seems the campaign as a whole, of which The Company provided the television content, has caused quite a stir and has made it through to the final in the European 2009 SOLAL Marketing Awards.
It is understood that Mike Jones of Drake Circus, Plymouth is thrilled that the campaign has gone so far in the international awards.
